Deadline nears for nominations of local health care heros
People in Tayside are being called upon to nominate local health heroes for an accolade at the Scottish Health Awards 2012 before the deadline of Monday, September 10.
Hundreds of nominations have been received from across Scotland but many more worthy health care teams and top professionals are yet to be put forward for an award.
The judges are looking for Scotland’s finest NHS workers and volunteers from across every area of health care including therapists, GPs, specialist carers or the cleaners and cooks who work tirelessly behind the scenes of NHS Scotland.
This year there are a number of new categories including the Integrated Care for Older People Award, Quality Champion of the Year and Leading for Quality Award.
Sandy Watson, NHS Tayside Chairman added: “Every day the skill and dedication of our staff makes a difference to people’s lives.
“Make sure you nominate your health hero before it’s too late and give them the recognition they deserve”
The finalists will be invited to attend a prestigious award ceremony in Edinburgh on November 8 where the winners will be revealed.
