Saga - no end in sight

Sir, It's not so much the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker but more the Council leader, the council convenor and the provost but will they produce the desired result and bring conclusion to the Waterson saga that has rumbled on for decades?

The provost asked for full attendance yet failed to grasp the fact that those parties invited to attend the community council meeting had in fact done so. She really should try to establish the facts before resorting to unjust criticism.

This argument could have been settled in less time than the fifteen minutes spent falsely accusing the convenor of discussing community council matters out-with the chamber and the forty-five minutes spent in the subterfuge and intrigue of some mysterious point that one councillor said he had, but was not prepared to share!

The past forty years of inaction is bordering on the criminal and the time has now come for proper restitution to be made to the Brechin people and for those not prepared to share information to withdraw from the debate.

Yours etc.,

John Ritchie.
