Early this year, Angus Hospital Board are to start a recruiting campaign in the county’s four major towns, Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar and Montrose.

Premises will be taken over for a few days in each town and displays erected.

The Board hope to attract the school student, the mother with grown-up children who never had a career and the former nurse who left to have family and may now want to return to the profession.

Senior and junior nurses will be present to have “a chat and cup of tea” with those interested.

At the group’s annual prize giving, which took place last month, the chairman of the group, Mr C W Renilson, said that the Training College which is presently sited at Stracathro Hospital, might be moved to Sunnyside Royal Hospital, where better accommodation might attract more recruits.
