New Students raring to go: NC Hospitality and Catering Students in Restaurant 56.

Students at Angus College are sharpening their knives and donning their chef whites in preparation for the re-opening of Restaurant 56 - the College’s popular training restaurant - which resumes lunch service this week.

And the new NC Hospitality and Catering recruits are more enthusiastic than ever to impress local diners with a combination of tasty dishes and top quality service.

The restaurant is open for lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12 noon and 2pm (last service 1pm) offering a freshly made three course meal at a reasonable price, all prepared and served by students within the relaxing environment of 56.

Course Tutor Lesley Hodgens, said: “At 56 our aim to provide our students with the best skills and experiences, heighten their passion for food, inspire confidence and create a sound foundation for a career in the hospitality industry. From menu planning, sourcing, costing, preparation, cooking and service, our students learn the whole process.”

As a special re-opening deal Restaurant 56 is offering two course lunches until Thursday (September 13) for just £4.

56 is located on the ground floor of the College’s Esk building on Keptie Road. To book a table call Rhoda Brechin on 01241 432612.
