Brechin butcher in Aberdeen display
A VENISON presentation especially for butchers will be held at the Thistle Hotel, Aberdeen Airport, tonight (Wednesday) from 7pm to 9pm.
Part of the Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, the event is designed to take away some of the mystique surrounding Scottish venison and give butchers the facts that they can pass on to customers.
The educational evening is part of a campaign to increase the popularity of locally sourced venison, and includes a talk by Peter Fraser, Vice Chairman of the Scottish Gamekeepers Association, and a professional butchery and cutting demonstration by Brechin butcher Bruce Brymer. There will also be a tasting of both roe and red venison.
