Angus College students are joining with wind farm developers Eurowind to produce an Energy Awareness Survey as part of Climate Change Week.

The survey is asking students how concerned they are about climate change, what they know about where their energy comes from and what they think about renewable energy.

The cross college project involving students from Business and Administration, Engineering and Class Representatives has been rolled out across the College.

The project is being delivered in partnership with Eurowind, wind power plant specialists, so the students are have been able to use this as a real life example of a renewable energy project within the survey.

Ian Lindsay of Eurowind said “We are delighted to be working alongside the students and have been hugely impressed with their enthusiasm, attitude and knowledge.”

Angus College Renewables and Energy Manager, Roddy Scott added “Cross college projects such as this enable students to enhance their learning through gaining skills they can take into the work place. Having an industry partner strengthens it further.”

The survey will run until March 8 and the students will discuss the results at a College wide event later in the Spring.
