Roadworks on Brechin bypass

Works to repair the concrete surface of the A90 Brechin bypass are about to commence causing some peak time delays for northbound traffic.

Works will commence on Monday 17th September and are programmed to last 12 days. The works are funded by Transport Scotland at a cost of around £170,000.

For the safety of workers and motorists, lane restrictions will be in place on the northbound carriageway for the duration of the works and a 50mph speed limit in place. The southbound carriageway will be unaffected.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit Representative, said: “These repairs are essential to ensure that this section of the A90 continues to operate safely and effectively for all road users.

“Whilst every effort will be made to minimise disruption to motorists, some delays may be expected, particularly at peak times.

“We would encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”
