Savills Property Advisors and Taylor’s of Montrose jointly hosted an auction preview on Thursday, February 7 at Taylors in Montrose.
Around 200 guests of Savills from the Angus area and beyond had the opportunity to learn about the investment value of land, houses, art and antiques from Savills experts, including Ewan Berkeley, Head of the Brechin office, and Head Auctioneer Ian Taylor.
They also had the chance to preview an amazing array of sale room items, including African masks, antiques, fine art, porcelain and marine and militaria, before the collections were made available to the public at Saturday’s auction.
A raffle prize draw raised £660, with the first prize being a pencil drawing of the Den of Finella by Maurice Forsyth-Grant. The money will be donated to the V&A in Dundee.
Ewan Berkeley of Savills said: “Thanks to Taylors for providing such a fascinating venue, and also to our clients and other friends who have come along tonight.
“Savills’ Brechin office has enjoyed loyal support for over 30 years.
“Under the directorship of Ruaraidh Ogilvie, we’ve been privileged to sell some of the finest farms and country houses in this beautiful county.
“For those like Roddy d’Anyers Willis and myself, who have been here since the early days, it’s wonderful to be joined by a younger generation, including Director Jonathan Dymock, Rory Galloway and Rachel Myles, who are all helping to drive our rural business forward.”
