Scottish Hydro is looking to help the people of Angus with their home energy costs.

Up to £310 can be saved by installing the correct level of insulation based on average consumption figures according to the Energy Saving Trust. To be eligible constituents must have less than 60 mm of loft insulation and/or no cavity wall insulation. You don’t even have to be a Scottish Hydro Customer and it is free. By contacting 0800 072 7201 people can find out whether they are eligible for this scheme.

Commenting on the offer Angus MP Mike Weir said:“Whilst we continue to fight the seemingly relentless increase in fuel bills I would urge constituents to look into schemes such as this run by Scottish Hydro and those run by the other energy suppliers. By installing insulation we can keep the heat in and may in the long run keep pounds in our pockets. Home insulation schemes have helped many constituents so far and I would urge any of those who have not yet looked into their home insulation needs to do so.”
