THE latest exhibition at the Whitehills Health and Communty Care Centre in Forfar features the work of well-known Forfarian William Philp.
The new exhibition features 23 works of art featuring many popular local scenes around Forfar and the west coast of Scotland.
William trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and was tutored by Bill Cadenhead, Alberto Morocco and Jack Knox.
Whilst at Art College he developed an interest in abstract art which has continued. His exhibition at the centre features two different styles; abstract and realism.
Using watercolours, pastels and acrylics, William captures the changing colours and shapes of nature creating a feeling of season, weather, time and memory.
Exhibitions at the centre are changed every eight weeks and all exhibits are for sale with the artist donating 20% commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund.
All money raised is used to enhance the Whitehills environment for patients.
