THE regular cast of the last ever season of Blairgowrie Highland Nights are enjoying another successful season.
Show organiser Tommy Newcomen said there have been numerous comments from the audiences expressing their enjoyment of the show and saying how sad they were to hear this is to be last ever season at the Angus Hotel.

The Highland Night takes the fo
rm of a full Scottish show with some general dancing.

Each act appears in their own spots and the audience is invited to get up and try a St.Bernards, Gay Gordons, Strip The Willow or Virginia Reel as well as just sitting enjoying the music.

The show has always created a warm and friendly party atmosphere with the cast working hard every week to entertain their audiences.

This year is no exception and many of the guests stay behind after each show to chat to and take photographs of the cast.

The last show on Tuesday, September 30 looks like being a sell out as many of the regular supporters have booked tickets for what will be an emotional end to the season and the show.

Apart from the regulars cast of compere/accordionist Tommy Newcomen, singer Anne Pack, Piper Graeme Thomson and Highland dancers Kerri Thomson and Robyn Newcomen there will be guest appearances from popular singer, entertainer and Radio Tay presenter Ian Lees and piper Charlie Blyth, who was the regular piper for the shows first seven years.

The show runs every Tuesday with tickets, priced at £3.50 and £2.50 for seniors and children, on sale from The Music Box and the Angus Hotel in the Wellmeadow with telephone bookings on 01250 875424 email;tommynewcomen@hotmail.com
