BRODOWSKI STRING QUARTET PLAY AT THE LINKS HOTEL

ON Saturday, August 23 at the Links Hotel, Montrose the third of this year's after-dinner concerts will be given by the Brodowski String Quartet.
This exciting young ensemble is based in London. Their leader, David Brodowski, was born in Poland but grew up in Germany; his fellow musicians originate from England, Wales and Scotland.

The quartet enjoy playing for music societies and clubs throughout the UK, and have performed in London at the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Barbican Hall, as well as undertaking three tours in Europe.

Formed just three years ago they have won several prestigious awards and prizes, the most recent being the 2008 Royal Overseas League Competition.

On their way up to Montrose they will be giving a series of concerts during the Edinburgh Festival.

Their programme at the Links Hotel will include Mendelssohn's F Minor string quartet Op 80 and Tchaikowsky's first quartet Opus 11 in D.

As usual dinner is at 7pm with music starting at 9pm. £27.50, which includes dinner, is payable on the night.
