Brechin Dramatic Society’s decision to give the home fans the opportunity to see their two 1983 Festival plays - one of which went all the way to the Scottish final - “played on their home ground” was a popular one. The audience in the City Hall last Wednesday was large with more young people than usual - and very appreciative.
Brechin Castle, opened on May 22, under the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme, by courtesy of the Rt. Hon. the Earl of Dalhousie, was out of luck weather-wise, though it never fails to attract appreciative visitors from a considerable distance from Edzell Base, etc. Needless to say, they found the gardens as lovely as ever.
The recent RNLI Flag Day and door-to-door collection in Brechin and District raised £503.76.
