As part of his 90th birthday celebrations the Earl of Southesk, senior vice -president of the Dundee and Angus branch of the Scots Guards Association, was host to veteran members of the branch at Kinnaird Castle. Mr Sam Pate, Kirriemuir, presented Lord Southesk with a bottle of whisky as a 90th birthday gift.
He and the Earl both served in the first World War. At Kinnaird Castle slides were shown of the Earl’s travels and of regimental and royal occasions.

Following a four month fund-raising campaign by Round Tablers in East Angus enough money has now been raised to provide a portable foetal scanner at the Fyfe-Jamieson Home and it is likely to be installed in the middle of this month.
