Football: At Friday’s meeting of the Scottish Football Association, in Glasgow, Mr David Will, the Brechin solicitor, who was formerly senior vice-president, was confirmed as the new president of the Association. He succeeds Mr Tommy Younger, late president, who died a fortnight ago.

Football: For the third week in succession Brechin were without a game on Saturday, their third round Scottish Cup-tie, away, against Clydebank was one of many “snowed off”.
The game should be played on Wednesday of this week but if New Kilbowie Park is still unplayable it may be possible to postpone it till Saturday when City should play Clydebank in a League game at Glebe Park.
