Though City were beaten 2-0 by the York City team the homesters again put up a performance which augured well for the season just opening. There was no lack of keenness on either side and the two cities swapped punch for punch for most of the game. Macintosh; 3, G. Gray. J. Pearson won the Woolgrowers’ Cup, and the Angus Marts Cup was won by P. Littlejohn. Special prizes of unluckiest dog was won by A. Davidson and best pen by D. Beaton.
