A landscape by James Morrison A.R.S.A, is to be hung in the boardroom of the new Hoover building in London. The picture, the largest work Mr Morrison has tackled, was painted from Clearbank, Stracathro, looking cross the howe to Glenesk. In the foreground there is a ripening field of barley. Missing, however, is the Stracathro Hospital complex because the artist felt that no buildings should appear in what he considers to be one of the finest views in Scotland.
Mr Morrison was commissioned to paint the landscape after the architects had seen two of his pictures in this year’s R.S.A exhibition.

Miss Wendy Young was chosen as Edzell Gala Queen at the marquee dance on Friday event.
