“It’s now over to you,” Doctor Eric Jenner, chairman of Brechin Civic Trust, told the members of the Trust and others at a meeting in the Mechanics Hall to discuss the proposed City Centre conservation in Brechin.
Dr Jenner said that he believed that such a scheme, which was aesthetically and economically desirable, was also now a practical possibility. Conditions, with grants etc., would never be more favourable.

Money raised by a sponsored walk in May has been distributed between five Red Cross Centres and the cheques, totalling £1,550 were presented at a special dance in Montrose. Brechin’s share was £535, which was handed over by Kevin Calder.
