City made a bright start at Glebe Park in the Scottish Cup second round. They kept on top of the game all the way through. At half-time they had a 2-1 lead and then they went nap! City not only scored their own five goals (one penalty) but Sime gave ‘Muir a gift goal, and City missed a penalty into the bargain.

This Ne’er Day derby attracted the largest crowd - just under 1000- seen at Glebe park this season, but for the home fans the game was a disappointment, especially in the later stages. City were unlucky to be up against a go-ahead Gable Endie team which had the home defence in trouble.
