A young couple had a narrow escape in a car crash at the Kincraig Corner, a mile from Brechin on the Montrose road early on Saturday morning, when their Austin Cambridge hit a tree, tore through the fence and landed in a field. The car was broken in two and the rear section finished up ahead of the front. The driver escaped with lacerations to his hand and did not even have to go to hospital. The passenger was taken to Stracathro Hospital with back injuries.
