Morgan’s Bridge, three miles above the Rocks of Solitude, has been rebuilt by Messrs John Oswald and Son, Brechin. This was one of the bridges that was victim of the spate of the North Esk which followed the cloud bursts last September.
A 3ft 6in- wide structure for pedestrians, it provides access across the river to a camping ground frequently used by youth organisation and will also serve houses across-stream from the glen.

A Brechin Shetland sheepdog puppy, Balneden Adjutant, owned by George Campion, had four firsts and was best of breed in the Shetland sheepdog class at the Caledonian Canine Society’s open show in the Waverley Market, Edinburgh. Adjutant won three awards at the Brechin show the previous week.
