Scouts of the 1st Brechin Troop and Glenesk Troop camped with 2nd Forfar at Mill of Aucheen, Glenesk. The campsite on the bank of the Burn of Turret, with the massif of Mt Buttock to the north, provided a fine area for scouting activities, including swimming and hiking.

Repair work is being carried out on one of Scotland’s oldest bridges, the bridge which spans the South Esk at Brechin. It is being strengthened by pressure grouting, a process by which cement is pumped in under pressure. The work is being done by the County Council which is now responsible for the upkeep of the bridge.
