Angus has given a record collection of over £600 for the Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Society. For some years past the county has topped the totals collected in the different counties or this and this year they have broken the record with a figure of £602, an increase of £80 over last year. The institute has 28 pensioners in Angus.

A Floral Art club is apparently just what the womenfolk have been waiting for - judging by the number who appeared at a meeting called to discuss the matter last Thursday in the Northern Hotel. Altogether there were 63 present and another seven were anxious to join, it was reported. The new club is to meet once a month during the winter and already experts have been fixed up to give the demonstrations.
