The Town Council are applying to the planning committee for permission to chance the use of 12 acres of land immediately to the west of Bearehill from agricultural to housing purpose. The land would be suitable for either private or local authority building.
The council were taken aback to learn, from the Provost, that only seven private houses had been built in Brechin in the past 10 years.

At a meeting last week, it was agreed after discussion to dissolve the Parent Teacher Association and to divide the balance on hand between the three Brechin schools. This balance amounts to about £30.
Andover and Damacre Branches are to continue independently. The High School branch is not functioning this year.
