The senior pupils of Edzell School will be working during the winter months on a Saltire Society project entitled “Around Edzell at the Turn of the Century”.

Angus SWRI Federation held a one-day school on rural problems. The forenoon session was dedicated to rural education with an address by Mr H. S. N. McFarland, Department of Education, Queen’s College, Dundee. In the afternoon Mr William Dog, depute county treasurer of Angus, talked on “county finance”. The other speaker was Mr Norman Turner, senior adviser for Angus, from the Edinburgh and East of Scotland College of Agriculture. The speakers were thanked by Mrs Sefton, vice-chair of the federation.
