The Bridgend refuse dump would be closed in six or eight weeks the Surveyor thought, after which operations would be transferred to the Reisk quarry. A lease of this quarry from Southesk Estates for 15 years at a rent of £10 per annum has been approved. The council are being granted the lease on the understanding that they erect an unclimbable fence around the new dump.
