While the five public weighbridges in the burghs of Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar, Kirremuir and Montrose, were tested and all found to be correct, the Inspector of Weights and Measurers says in his annual report the Brechin machine, although overhauled last year, was again found to be very much a borderline case. In view of its history and unsatisfactory siting, the Town Council has been advised to replace and resite it.
