Added value for bACTIVE members

Angus Council bACTIVE membership scheme, which gives unlimited use of the council’s sports and leisure facilities for a monthly fee, is now adding free parking at Crombie and Monikie country parks and free watersports hire into the package. bACTIVE members can apply for a car parking season ticket, valued at £57, for Crombie and Monikie. Parking charges commence at both venues during the weekend of March 30 and 31.

The Country Parks, Crombie, Forfar Loch and Monikie with their open bodies of water, woodlands and parkland, are ideal locations for a visit to the countryside. The scenic surroundings offer many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors at any time of the year.

All the sites have paths and trails suitable for exercising including walking, jogging and orienteering. In addition, Monikie Country Park offers a range of watersports hire and instruction in windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and canoeing. bACTIVE members can hire out these craft free, but must be booked in advance. Watersports hire commences May 4 and runs through to September 30.

The High Ropes course is a tree top activity that provides an exciting challenge for both young and old alike and is ideal for birthday parties and social events. This activity is run and lead by qualified instructors.

For further details of the bACTIVE scheme, contact Angus Council leisure services via the ACCESSLine 08452 777 778 or at any sports or leisure facility, or visit www.angus.gov.uk/leisure/
