THE intimite surroundings of the Bank Street Gallery in Kirriemuir will provide the perfect setting for an acoustic session this Saturday night with ODi.
ODi is an Irish singer, songwriter and musician who manages to blend elements of Joan Armatrading’s pathos, Beth Orton’s eye for the quirky and deep with a touch of Dido’s bed-sit romance to produce her own unique, captivating sound.
The gifted singer’s debut album “Maslow’s Songbook” was recorded with producer Karl Odlum (Fionn Regan, The Frames, David Kitt).
The album encapsulates ODi’s stunning voice, songs and lyrics set to a range of beautiful musical landscapes featuring contributions from Colm Mac Con Iomaire (The Frames / Swell Season) and Rónán Ó Snodaigh (Kíla).
ODi has toured extensively across the UK, Ireland and Europe and continues to win many fans and plaudits along the way. This is a great opportunity to hear her in the heart of Angus.
Tickets priced £10 should be bought in advance on 01575 570070 or 07793743989.
The gig begins at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm). (Bring your own bottle).
