INTIMATE DRAMA AT REP
NOW showing at Dundee Rep Theatre is Equus, the intimate drama of epic proportions uncovering dark secrets and deep desires.
The production by Peter Shaffer, which runs until Saturday, March 20, tells the story of the unassuming stable boy Alan Strang who is the only son of an opinionated father and a devoutly religious mother and seems like any normal seventeen-year-old.
His life appears routine, his passion for horses quite healthy, and his family loving. However, on Alan's first journey of sexual discovery what is revealed is a far more complex series of circumstances, which lead him to behave in a most devastating way.
As psychiatrist Martin Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own. Physical and exciting, this production should not be missed.
