Mearns’ musical

MEARNS Academy Musical Society are staging the record breaking, all-time great musical Les Miserables (School Edition), from June 18-22.

This will be the last show directed by Derek D. Noble at Mearns as he is poised to retire after 40 years in teaching.

To make a special musical event more special, Derek is inviting as many former students, former colleagues and anyone who has been involved in any way in any of his previous productions to come along and “sing” the score of this amazing musical at rehearsals.

Only students aged 19 and under are permitted to appear on stage.

Rehearsals are already underway and anyone interested in taking part should contact Derek on smbnoble@mearns.sberdeenshire.sch.uk for more information.

Parents and friends of Mearns Academy and anyone who can lend their expertise with design, set painting, costume, theatre arts, publicity and PR etc should also contact Derek.

Le Miserables is a musical by Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schonberg.
