The Margaret Jamieson String Competition 2013 was held recently at Andover Primary School. Starting in the year 2000, it has become an annual event.

It comprises all violin, viola, cello and double bass pupils from Maisondieu, Andover and Edzell Primaries, who have received tuition for more than a year.

Of the 25 participants, there were three winners and three special mentions. Margaret Jamieson and Christine Jackson (Acting Depute Head, Brechin High School) kindly adjudicated.
