Webster’s packed new year programme

THERE is a full programme of varied entertainment lined up for the new year at the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath.

The Angus Tayside Young Farmers’ cabaret competition is on Saturday, January 28, followed by Arbroath Musical Society with their production of Titanic the Musical from February 7 to 11.

The Scottish Community Drama Association’s one-act play competition is on Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25 with the Diamond Jubilee Show of We’ll Meet Again running on Monday, March 5.

Back by popular demand the all-star cast brings the spirit of the wartime era alive, recreating the music and memories that kept Britain smiling through her darkest days.

The 80th Arbroath Musical Festival is on March 7 to 9 followed by One Night of Elvis, starring Lee ‘Memphis’ King, on Wednesday, March 14.

There’s a treat for Abba fans on March 16 with Abbamania - the concert and on Sunday, March 18 the audience will join in the St Patrick’s Day celebrations with The Fureys and Davey Arthur.

The Singing Kettle will Shake, Rattle and Roll with their latest show on March 24 and 25 before the Arbroath Male Voice Choir, with guest Lelsey Garret, take to the stage on Thursday and Friday, March 29 and 30.

Fireman Sam is in town on April 7 for Pontypandy Rocks and on April 14 there’s a tribute night to the Bee Gees with Jive Talkin’. The Angus Strathspey and Reel Society will perform a fiddlers rally on April 21 followed by the popular Rat Pack Live show on April 22.
