The Kirriemuir and Forfar Rising Stars take to the stage of Kirriemuir Town Hall from Wed - Saturday this week with their production of Guys and Dolls.

IT’S curtain up at the Kirriemuir Town Hall tonight (Wednesday) as over 50 young performers take to the stage for the first night of Forfar and Kirriemuir Rising Youngstars’ production of the hit Broadway musical, Guys & Dolls.

For several months, the cast of five to 18 year-olds have been perfecting the song and dance numbers that are at the heart of this story of love between a gambler, Sky Masterson, and a Salvation Army girl, Sarah Brown.

“Guys & Dolls is packed full of fabulous songs and toe-tapping dance routines, which certainly showcase the talents of Kirriemuir and Forfar’s Rising Youngstars,” said Charlotte Turner-Kersley, Rising Youngstars’ assistant director and choreographer.

“With musical numbers including ‘Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat’ and ‘Luck Be A Lady’, it’s one hit after another!”

Rising Youngstars’ production of Guys & Dolls will be performed at Kirriemuir Town Hall every evening from Wednesday, February 8 until Saturday, February 11.

Tickets (£8 adults, £6 concessions) are available from Garlands Florist, East High Street, Forfar (01307 462978) and David Sims, Roods, Kirriemuir (01575 575757).
