THE Rev. Bernard Liddiard’s retirement as organist at Parkgrove Crematorium was marked with a meal at the Northern Hotel, Brechin, last week.

Bernard, who is well-known in local musical circles, has played at services at the crematorium ever since it opened in 1993.

There was a large gathering of friends and colleagues to mark the occasion and to thank him for his years of service.

Bernard is not retiring from music though, and he will be leading the Brechin and District Choral Union again at their next concert in April.
