Brechin Leisure centre was crowned facility of the year for 2015 at the Angus Council leisure awards, held at Webster Theatre on May 21.
Staff at each of the eight leisure centre sites also voted for fellow staff members to be their facility employee of the year.
At the event, Darren Teare at Forfar Swimming Pool who won employee of the year 2014-15.
Highly commended awards went to Kristine Krauze at Brechin Leisure Centre, Kath Coulthard at Websters Sports Centre, Ramunas Sadas at Arbroath Sports Centre and Lesley Hadden at Brechin Leisure Centre.
Speaking at the ceremony, the council’s vice-convener of communities, councillor Jeanette Gaul, said: “I’d like to congratulate all of our winners and to all of the employees who play their part in ensuring the successful running of our leisure facilities throughout the year.
“In Angus, we are fortunate to have some excellent sporting and leisure facilities which provide for people of all ages and abilities. The hard work and dedication of our staff is crucially important in making these facilities run efficiently.
“I offer my congratulations, not only this year’s winners, but to all the employees who play their part in ensuring the successful running of our leisure facilities.”
