Brechin Rotary Club held their 10th annual quiz night this week.
For something a little different, the club decided to let the teams compete for a top prize of £300, the winning team being able to donate the prize to their own chosen cause. There was a full house of 21 teams at the Caledonian Hotel in Brechin, and, after a hard fought battle, the team from Laurencekirk Rotary Club just came home first.
The main winner though was the Hope and Homes for Children organisation, which the winning team was competing for.
This Worldwide organisation helps to place children in “loving families and a place they can call home”.
Quizmaster David Robinson said, “Brechin Rotary club was absolutely delighted with the tremendous support for the quiz once again.
“Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds from our quiz nights and we are pleased that the Hope and Homes organisation will benefit this year.”
