Brechin Rotarians visited Arbroath Rotary Club twice recently.
A group of them attended Arbroath’s 85th Charter Dinner where they were addressed by several top speakers, most notably by Ray Burman, the President of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland.
Ray was an East End of London copper, and has risen to the top post in Rotary in the British Isles.
He delivered a witty but down to earth presentation that included how close Rotary, through its Polioplus campaign, had come to eliminate polio worldwide.
Brechin Rotary club members were back in Arbroath a few days later when the two clubs competed in the Rotary District Gavel competition. After a very light hearted and enjoyable evening, Brechin Rotary Club finished clear winners.
