Brownies in Angus are celebrating the organisation's centenary.

Brownies and Brown Owls in Angus, past and present, are being urged to take part in local celebrations to commemmorate the 100th birthday of the organisation.

“Were you a Brownie in Angus? Or perhaps you were a leader in one of the many Brownie units in Angus at one point in time, or of course, you may still be involved in Girlguiding either in Angus or elsewhere! If so, we would love to hear from you,” said County Commissioner Fiona Dalziel.

“Brownies throughout Angus are celebrating the 100th birthday of Brownies in style this year! It’s our Big Brownie Birthday!,” she added.

“Coming up in June we have an amazing day at the Caledonian Railway Steam Train in Brechin and a huge camp with over 250 Brownies.”

She said they were also to be holding a special event at the end of the summer and would like to invite members past and present to go along and join in the fun.

“If you were involved in Brownies in Angus and whether you were a Brownie, a Brown Owl, or both get in touch! Give us as much or as little information as you wish about the fun and adventures you had! To give us time to send you an invitation, please contact us by 30th June 2014.”
