The 139th Montrose Flower Show takes place next weekend in the Links Hotel and green fingered Brechiners are being urged to enter.
The show will be open to the public on Friday, August 7 from 2 to 8pm and on Saturday, August 8 from 10am to 4pm. The prize giving takes place at 4pm on Saturday.
The trophies will be presented by Betty Kerr, who, with her husband George, was a stalwart of Montrose Horticultural Society for many years and who continues to support the work of the society.
Entry at the door costs £3 or £2 for concessions.
Entries for all classes will be accepted at the Links Hotel on Thursday, August 6 between 1 and 10pm or on Friday, August 10 between 7am and 8.45am. As judging takes place at 9am sharp on Friday, no entries can be accepted after the 8.45am deadline.
Schedules are still available at the Library, The Wool Shop, Crafty Cat and Rossie Braes Market Garden.
In order to exhibit at the show, you need to be a full member of the Society. This costs £3 for the year and can be paid at the time of presenting your entries.
There are no other fees and your membership entitles you to unlimited attendance at the show.
