Charity air ambulance talk for Probus

Brechin Probus Club’s recent meeting was opened by Chairman Jim Hawke, who introduced speaker Ally Ballingall, better known to the members as Ally Bally of Radio Tay.

His topic was the Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, known as SCAA and he explained that the idea came from a Perth businessman visiting Australia suggesting one based in Perth Airport would complement the existing ones. Ally told how the project was set up, funded and its present functions.

After many questions from the members, the vote of thanks was given by Geoff Rose.

The next meeting takes place on Tuesday, October 6, at the Northern Hotel. Pam Cairns will talk about ‘The Truth Behind the Fiction’.
