Brechin Rotary Club held their Christmas meal last week at the Caledonian Hotel in Brechin. Ken Aitken and Frances Urquhart were on hand to entertain the large number of Rotarians and guests. ‘Scotland the What’ sketches got an airing, together with a little bit of Robert the Bruce and his spider! The club also had their annual Christmas bag pack at the Co-op and raised £640, with the money going to CHAS - the Children’s Hospice Association for Scotland. Club president Steve Collis said: “The club has been involved with CHAS before and know all about the good work they do. We are pleased to support them again and would like to thank the Co-op and all their staff for the wonderful help given, and a big thank you also for the generosity of the customers.”

The club would like to remind everyone that their annual Christmas Eve carol service with Brechin Brass Band will take place at St Ninian’s Square Brechin, starting at 8.50 p.m.
