A CUBAN night, sponsored by the City of Brechin and District Community Council, will launch the Brechin Transition Town campaign in the Northern Hotel at 7.30 p.m., on Friday, April 5.
Following a brief film on a transition project, the night’s entertainment will be provided by Daniel Gaviao from Latin Dance Aberdeen.
Daniel and his partner will give a Salsa demonstration before teaching some basic steps.
Once the demonstration is completed those present will have the opportunity to take to the floor and practice what they have learned.
Organiser for the event, Joy Mowatt, commented: “This promises to be a fun night and anyone who has ever fancied trying out Salsa dancing should come along and enjoy themselves.
“Those who wish to come along and simply enjoy the atmosphere are also very welcome.
“Tickets cost £5.50 for an evening with light refreshments and dancing.
“The bar will be able to produce Cuban cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks with a Cuban flavour.
“Call me on 07590 472750 for or ask at The Northern Hotel for tickets.
“For catering purposes, tickets should be bought in advance.
“After all the cold weather it will be an evening to think of the warmer days to come.”
