With the weather taking a wintry turn last week, we thought we’d share an appropriate Down Memory Lane picture.
The picture was taken in January 1940 by W. Gradwell, who was Brechin cricket professional at the time. The ice was so thick on the South Esk, that people were skating on it down the length of River Street.
If you have a photograph you would like to submit to this feature, simply email it to email@example.com along with some accompanying information, including when and where the photo was taken if known.
Alternatively, photographs can also be handed in to our office at 13 Swan Street, where a member of the editorial team can scan the picture and return it to you.
