Club member Andy Edgar was not out of his depth at Brechin Rotary Club last week, when he spoke of his interest in scuba diving.

Andy and his family are qualified divers, and have enjoyed their hobby in many exotic locations around the world.

After revealing all manner of technical equipment and training required for these aquatic safaris, he said there was one golden rule for divers – keep breathing at all times!

Andy amazed the Rotarians with descriptions of his encounters with all manner of extraordinary and sometimes dangerous marine life.

Sharks and Stingrays should be treated with respect and calm, he said, but this could prove difficult when the deadly poisonous Lion fish was hovering between your bare legs.

Ron Stewart gave Andy a vote of thanks for his presentation, which went down swimmingly.
