With Christmas just a day away and Santa due to deliver a whole host of presents around the Brechin and Edzell area, Brechin Air Cadets are looking for donations of old computers.
The Air Cadets are currently in the process of updating their training methods and part of this means the group will be going paperless.
A spokesperson from the cadets said: “The training programs are now to be taught through online learning software which allows each cadet to learn and sit exams at their own pace.
“This means that we need a few computers to allow this to go ahead.
“We are therefore wondering if anyone upgrading their PC over the festive period would consider donating their old ones to our squadron?”
If you have had a delivery of a new PC from Santa and would like to donate your old PC to the cadets pop along the Squadrons headquarters at Commerce Street, Brechin, on a Tuesday or Thursday evening between 7 and 9 p.m.
You can also contact the cadets by emailing email@example.com or by telephoning them on 01356 626338.
As well as looking for computers the 2365 (Brechin) Squadron are also looking for information about the history of the group as it looks towards its 60th anniversary which takes place on May 1, 2014.
Originally, Brechin, Montrose and Arbroath Squadrons made up the 2288 Squadron based at RAF Edzell and they are looking to piece together information about the Squadron since May 1, 1954.
A spokesperson from the 2365 (Brechin) Squadron said: “We are looking for stories, pictures and information on the formation and history from 1954 up the to the present day.”
If you have any information you can share, no matter how big or small, contact the squadron on the above telephone number or email address.
