Members of Montrose Embroiderers’ Guild from Montrose, Brechin, Arbroath and Laurencekirk areas have set up an exhibition at Montrose Museum. It contains many types of needlework, including beautiful embroidered panels with historic interest to the surrounding area.

These are based on the Paniter Panels and the Montrose Door, intricately carved woodwork thought to be from the 16th century which is on display in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and Montrose Museum. Much credit must be given to the staff at Montrose Museum who helped and advised in the setting up of the exhibition which runs until Saturday, June 14. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
