Organisers of the Wellbank and District Flower and Craft Show are hoping for a packed exhibition this Sunday (August 17).
The show has been made possible due to the success of the groups plant sale, held in May this year. The money raised at the event has funded the show, which is open to the public between 2 and 4 p.m.
A spokesperson for the event explained: “There are categories for all the family to exhibit, sections include but are not limited to children’s, flowers, vegetables, fruit, handicrafts, floral art, painting, photography, baking and many others.
“Adult exhibit entries are 30 pence each to a maximum of £3, children’s section cost 30p per child for unlimited entries. Schedules still available at Wellbank Shop. Staging for the even takes place on Saturday, August 16, between 5.30 and 9 p.m. also Sunday, August 17, between 7.30 and 10 a.m.
“Once judging has taken place the show will open to the public between 2 and 4 p.m. Silver collection entry, tea and coffee on sale. Everyone is welcome.”
