Forensic investigator talk

AT LAST week’s Rotary Club meeting at the Caledonian Hotel, Mark Hooghiemstra gave an insight into the world of photography.

Mark is a keen photographer and he focussed on the historical development of the camera.

He brought with him examples to expose the changes from the primitive box camera right through to the digital high spec models that we have today.

For his day job he is a forensic accident investigator, which demands at times his photographic skills - skills that have won him national competitions.

Mark developed his presentation with a look some of this work and also the tricks of Photoshop.

Rotarian Andy Edgar thanked Mark for sharing his thoughts and images.
