From the archives: 30 years ago

There was a swarm of bees in the bus shelter at the foot of Clerk Street outside the Bank of Scotland premises on Saturday, June 16. Fortunately there was a keen beekeeper at hand to deal with the emergency. He was P.C. John Burnett who was able to effect a smart capture.

A Search is on in Tayside and North Fife for five youngsters who will become radio reporters for three weeks during the summer. The recruiting drive is being conducted by Radio Tay.

Parents and friends of Tarfside School, Glenesk attended a wine and cheese party in aid of school funds. An elaborate assortment of cheeses and refreshment was handed round by the parents and a happy atmosphere was evident.
